Anupam Shobhakar is an artist with a deep background in the Senia Maihar Gharana based in New York City. He has undergone rigorous training under the guidance of Shree Suresh Vyas, a senior disciple of the esteemed Annapurna Devi, and Ustad Aashish Khan. Over the years he has had the privilege of showcasing his talents at various events, thereby accumulating valuable experience, and cultivating a diverse musical repertoire.

Having performed globally on the Sarod for many years, Anupam decided to embark on a new musical journey developing a comprehensive Classical repertoire on the Fretless Guitar. This endeavor aims to expand the musical horizons of the instrument, enabling it to adeptly handle the nuances of Hindustani Classical Music from both a Dhrupad and a Khayal perspective.

Over the past year, Anupam has passionately performed on this exciting new instrument, and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive.

Anupam believes whether Eastern or Western Instruments the scope of Raga and Tala Music transcends beyond the cultural limitations imposed on the Instruments historically.
